Chamfered, modern and warm

The C70 is Kömmerling's chamfered 70mm window. The angled edges give a crisp, modern look that suits new builds and renovations alike.

It's A rated as standard, with a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K double glazed or 1.2 with Low-E Plus glass. Every 70mm Kömmerling window can be upgraded to 36mm or 40mm triple glazing, and 40mm triple glazing takes it to A+.

Choose a standard sash, the slimmer C70 Slim Sash or the Flush 70, then pick from woodgrain and solid colours, three astragal bar sizes and a range of handles.

    Double or triple glazing

    Double glazed as standard at 1.4 W/m²K, or 1.2 with Low-E Plus glass. Upgrade to 36mm or 40mm triple glazing; 40mm triple gives an A+ rating.

    Warm edge spacer

    The spacer between the panes is warm edge. Black as standard, with white available on non-foiled white windows, subject to availability.

    Chamfered sash

    Clean, angled edges on the sash and frame give C70 its crisp, modern look.

    Gaskets

    Black gaskets as standard. On non-foiled white windows you can choose silver gaskets with a white spacer instead.

    70mm multi-chamber frame

    A 70mm, five-chamber uPVC profile made with lead-free calcium-zinc stabilisers.

White is just the start. Most woodgrains come foiled on both sides or on the outside only, over a smooth white inside.

Kömmerling C70 FAQs

What's the difference between C70 and O70?

Both are 70mm Kömmerling windows with the same performance. C70 has crisp chamfered edges for a modern look. O70 has a softer, fully sculptured ovolo shape for a more traditional look.

How energy efficient is C70?

It's A rated as standard, with a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K double glazed or 1.2 W/m²K with Low-E Plus glass. With 40mm triple glazing it reaches A+.

Can I have triple glazing?

Yes. Every 70mm Kömmerling window can be upgraded to 36mm or 40mm triple glazing.

How secure is it?

C70 has multi-point locking, and it can be upgraded to PAS 24:2022 and Secured by Design, which meets Approved Document Q. Secured by Design windows have slightly smaller maximum sizes: side hung up to 650 × 1325mm and top hung up to 1100 × 1100mm (1m²).

How big can the opening sashes be?

Kömmerling's recommended overall maximum sizes are 750mm wide × 1400mm high for side hung, and 1350mm wide × 1250mm high for top hung, with a maximum of 1m². Bigger openings are split with mullions, transoms and fixed lights.

Can I have a colour outside and white inside?

Yes. Most colours can be foiled on the outside only over a smooth white inside, or on both sides. Smooth Textured Slate Grey and Painswick Grey are available on C70 only.

Do you fit C70 tilt & turn windows?

Yes. We've fitted Kömmerling tilt & turn windows in flats and houses. Send us your sizes and we'll confirm what's possible.
